Who doesn't like a good little dive bar? Decent menu for a pub. Small pub with outdoor seating and probably a great place to watch sports. Norm was our waiter and bartender - real friendly guy, great service. Made me a great Bloody Mary mmm. CC and I ordered lunch at the bar. He got a chicken Caesar avocado salad and I ordered a veggie wrap with dressing on side and waffle fries. The wrap came out w dressing in it but they were cool and remade it for me without a problem. It was really fresh, like a nice crisp salad in a spinach tortilla. Black olives, tomatoes, onions, crumbled blue cheese, avocado, spring mi greens, mmmm! This is bar food? Cc's salad looked tasty. The waffle fries were hot and crisp. Everything was good. Owner Adam is a super nice dude. We shall return!

We really enjoyed the spinach artichoke dip, mac & cheese & the turkey sandwich. Very casual reasonably priced, perfect location. We'll be back!

First night in Telluride and since it is off-season not much was open in Mountain Village so we went for dinner to Poachers. The waiter attitude was a little off-beat, not very friendly almost annoyed by our presence not that the place busy we were the only diners but the worst part was when taking our order he stuck his finger in his nose. Gross! We were so hungry we prayed he wasn't the one doing the cooking. The food actually tasted okay, nothing memorable and we would never go back.

While the food wasn't amazing, it wasn't bad. We had the chili and a turkey wrap with tomato soup. The soup was good, the rest was good for the price and the relaxed atmosphere.

Went for drinks after skiing. Stayed to play pool. Friendly bartenders and strong drinks. I really liked how they had board games, TVs, tons of locals. We did not try the food but it looked standard pub fare. Unpretentious and friendly....what a pub should be.

Crowded, but a couple playing pool and just having beers surrendered their table so my 2 sons and I could sit and eat. Very cool. Bartender came around and took our order very quickly. Very cool. We had wings to start and they were tasty. The sandwiches were right on time and done well. For being in a resort, Poacher's feels like a 'real' place.

This is a great place to eat in Mountain Village! The food was delicious, the service was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was laid back and chill! Perfect for the end of a busy day! We were pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes too! Yummy! We will be back next year!! A great place. Good food, great service, beautiful location! Poachers was the only bar open in the village after 10 pm. It was a fun scene. Great bartenders, friendly service, and close to our hotel.

The fact that their kitchen is open late make this place an awesome spot in Mountain Village. That being said, pretty standard bar food.

I loved this place. Not sure if it was the cheapest beer in town, the local hangout spot, the gargantuan Old Texan sandwich or the fact that it is right off of Telluride resort that made me love this place. $1.75 for a PBR, yes please! I don't think I found anything cheaper than that at a bar in Telluride, on or off the resort. I loved hanging out here after all of the closing day festivities because everyone that walked in seemed to have either A) worked at Telluride resort or B) Was drunk from the spring debauchery, which made the experience of meeting people in even better. It definitely shouted "local hang out." Then you got the Big Old Texan. A sandwich stacked too high to fit in your mouth with roast beef, turkey, onion rings, bacon...and something else...I wish I took a photo of this thing. It was glorious. Poacher's is one of those spots that when you are done eating, you end up chatting up with the randoms around you, who are all incredibly nice locals. I did that for about 2.5 hours and ripped some whiskey shots with them. It was a great night...but a rough next day.

Poacher's Pub is an oasis of normalcy in upscale, tacky Mountain Village. During the winter, it is my favorite location in town for après ski, pendant ski, and en lieu de ski. Telluride Ski Resort ephemera from times long ago adorns the walls (When was the last time you skied Cat's Paw? Or spent 25 minutes on Lift 4 back when it was a triple?) and a bar, some high boys, and a metal picnic table are all you'll find here for seating. No worry because soon the affable staff will ply you with reasonably priced libations and decent bar food. Highlights include a formidable roast beef sandwich on local favorite Cindybread, several tumescent wraps, and a gut-busting chili-mac that will end your day on the slopes. Remember: when in doubt, elect waffle fries, and the horseradish sauce is a crucial addition to nearly any menu item.

Didn't have a great experience at Poachers Pub. Very rude waiter/bartender that really didn't want to be there. We asked for his opinion on two of the items on the menu. He told us that he wouldn't eat either one and nothing on the menu was good. I proceeded to order a sandwich and was told they don't have it anymore. That was strike three and we left.

Massive serving sizes, good food, good brews, nice crowd. It's a good spot for apres ski if you want to be in a relaxed low-key place. I saw kids in there when I was there, but it's not really geared towards the little ones.

We came into the pub for a late lunch and grabbed a seat by the window. I was pleasantly surprised with the wrap that I had. I can't remember what my husband had. I saw the mac n cheese come out and it looked really interesting and good. The service was great, very attentive without being overly annoying.

"Brrrr its freezing, my legs are killing me, I need a break!!!" This is the best place to go when this happens! When it's time to take a break from the mountain, you can cruise on over to this pub and relax. Great location, right in the center of the mountain up in Mount Village!! Its right next to a Gondola, you can go down the mountain more if you would like, or you can take the lift right around the corner to go higher up the mountain. The place is pretty tiny, so if you're with a larger group, you may have to wait for a table. We had a party of 6 and were able to get the bigger table in the window each time we went. The employees are all very friendly and helpful; we were in Telluride for 3 days and visited this pub 3 times. I would recommend the chili cheeses fries, or the pretzel to fill up your stomach to give you some energy to get back out and have some fun on the mountain. Prices for food are a little high, but you're in a little tourist town, up on the mountain, you have to expect that. It's not too bad for drinks if you order one of their specialty beers and they certainly give you a heavy pour for your dollars worth with liquor drinks. Definitely would recommend this place to all snowboarders and skiers.

Not a bad place to grab a brew and head back onto the slopes. The lunch menu is small, but you are sure to get a pretty unique and tasty basket of grub. I had the Burrito Porito, a fish wrap with spinach and salsa - excellent (but kind of spicy). Meals are served in baskets with paper lining, so the presentation isn't classy, but then again, the whole atmosphere isn't exactly 5-star. Why should it be, since it's a quick refueling point while you're burning calories on the slopes? The service was the best thing they had going. The bar tender was very communicative and helpful, and he did quite a bit to keep the place clean and the guests well cared for. While I've praised them up to this point, I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to see if my review is accurate. Telluride offers a great deal of dining/lunch options, so there's little reason to parade through Mountain Village just for a beer and a sandwich. As a comment to my personal interests, this is not the kind of establishment you are likely to find me hanging around on a Friday evening; too many ski-bum bar flies.

We stopped in here around 9pm after a long day of traveling. I had the hot wings (hot) and waffle fries and they were quite tasty. It's a typical bar atmosphere with pretty good bar food.

I come to telluride 3-4 times a year and love this place. Laid back and local, divey and relaxingly plain inside. You must try the French dip, the chili (I'm a tough sell on restaurant chili and theirs is excellent), the fish and chips and the wings. All are hot and delicious. They remodeled and added on in 2014 and they're as good (and divey) as ever. My son loves the chicken tenders, but the French dip is still my favorite.

This is a popular place for locals to come for a pint or food - I came here for an early lunch - the place filled up fast. I had the Veggie Wrap with waffle fries. Both were good - it hit the spot, especially the fries! The wrap was generous in size.

Great for NFL Sunday on the slopes, only place in Mountain Village with Sunday Ticket. Good bar food/sandwiches and good prices. They have PBR for like $2 (or something) all the time.

The late night spot in Mountain Village. Most of the patrons are friendly - often providing some entertainment. Bartenders are super friendly, food is above average for pub fare. Prices are reasonable too - $5 call drinks served in large glasses.
